Abellana National School (ANS) is an educational institution established in 1906. It is located on the street of Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City. It was formerly the Cebu State College of Science and Technology (CSCST) – College of Arts and Trades. On June 10, 1983, it was converted into an extension campus of the CSCST by the passage of Batasang Pambansa Bilang 412.
Abellana National School History
The City High School had been named Abellana High School to pay tribute to the immense Cebuano legend, the late Governor of Cebu, Hon. Hilario Abellana was murdered by the Japanese amid their occupation in Cebu. At that point, it was changed to Abellana Technical School and later to Abellana Vocational High School.

ANS Today
Today ANS playground hosts a yearly Sinulog festival and other activities which governed by the city officials. Although there have been a few teachers being suspended over illegal according to the local newspaper over the collection of fees, the school remains constant and quality education.
