Bohol-Panglao International Aiport
Bohol–Panglao International Airport is also known as New Bohol International Airport.

It is the newest Airport in Bohol, Philippines. Located in Tiwala, Panglao, Bohol Philippines. Last November 27, 2018, it officially opened in Panglao Island. The Bohol-Panglao International Airport was formally opened at exactly 4:00 in the afternoon, starting the program and parade.

This Airport is the replacement for the old Tagbilaran Airport in preparation for many tourists, local and international, who will be going here, especially since the summer is near. Five years of building this Airport is worth waiting for. It is just a start. Bohol will rise soon, and the economic growth will increase after the earthquake damage happened.

President Rodrigo Duterte was led to inaugurate the Airport and joined by transportation officials, including DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade and CAAP Director General Capt. Jim Sydiongco. Governor Edgar Chatto, Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, and National Development Authority Secretary Ernesto Pernia attended the inauguration rites.

Bohol-Panglao International Airport is the first Eco-airport in the country. There are three Boholanos Pilot lead to land at the Airport, namely, Air Asia Captain Primo Dagondon from Anda, First Officer Kristine Boniel from Bien Unido, and our very own First Officer Jaja Jumamoy from Inabanga. It is the pride of Bohol that will make the history proud.

Officially Opened

The official opening of this Airport took place on November 27, 2018. At precisely 6:00 in the evening, the Tagbilaran Airport formally closed all flights rerouted to Bohol-Panglao International Airport. On November 28, 2018, all flights landed at the new Airport.

This Airport is accessible to tourists, especially in Panglao Beaches and other tourist spots. I’m sure this place will be more lively and more establishments will be open soon. I’m thrilled to witness the Airport opening and feel proud that our place has an international airport. It is just the beginning for our place to be recognized internationally.
