Nestled in the picturesque mountains of Barangay Matutinao in Badian, Cebu, Kawasan Falls is a captivating natural waterfall that offers visitors a chance to experience its beauty, enjoy its refreshing waters, and have a great time. Located just 130 kilometers southwest of the city, reaching it requires a 3-4 hour bus ride from the Cebu South Bus Terminal near Elizabeth Mall.
Starting from the entrance, you’ll need to walk through the villages to reach the falls, covering an estimated distance of about 1.5 kilometers from the first waterfall. The path is easy to follow, and along the way, you’ll come across souvenir shops selling accessories like beaded necklaces, bracelets, and Kawasan-printed T-shirts. I recommend wearing shoes instead of slippers because you’ll cover a distance before reaching Kawasan Falls.

Important Reminders
You might want to have some extra cash on hand as there are various fees associated with visiting this place, but for first-time visitors, the experience is well worth it. If you find that a day isn’t enough, rent an overnight cottage with prices ranging from ₱800.00 to ₱2000.00 depending on the number of occupants.
Travel Tips
Be always prepared for crowded people during weekends. You may not be comfortable with lots of people all together at the same time. It’s best to go there on weekdays when there are fewer people and more fun to enjoy the falls with your company. I highly recommend visiting this place in the early morning, especially on holidays and weekends, as it tends to get crowded.
